The MND Tyne and Wear Branch is run entirely by volunteers. We are always on the lookout for people who can help us. Whatever your interests and talents, there is always something that you can do.
As always, there is a warm welcome for all those who can give general support, such as lending a hand at collections, sales etc.
Are you good at organising? Enthusiastic? Good at networking and generating ideas? Could you lead a fundraising team for the Branch, planning a range of future activities and events to keep vital funds coming in?
Could you help to arrange a social programme for Branch meetings so that members and supporters find meetings enjoyable and interesting and well worth attending?
Are you interested in helping us with publicity? Perhaps you are a budding journalist and would like to practice your writing skills by helping us with our newsletter and/or drafting interesting items for the this website?
If you think you may be able to help, please contact:

Are you a good listener, caring, friendly and supportive? If so, you could you be an Association Visitor with us.
People with MND often feel isolated and alone, which is why the MND Association created the volunteer Visitor role to support people with MND and their families.
They work as part of a local team, visiting people with MND or keeping in touch by telephone or email. They provide an invaluable link for people with MND, keeping them in touch with the Association and proactively signposting them to other sources of help and advice.
